Marissa Bird, a recent graduate of the PhD program in the School of Nursing, has taken on a postdoctoral fellowship.

Bird will be working with Dr. Carolyn Steele Gray at the Bridgepoint Collaboratory for Research and Innovation, Sinai Health, which is affiliated with the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute. Both institutions are located in Toronto.

"During my postdoctoral fellowship, I will be building on my doctoral research, which focused on the co-design and formative testing of a digital health system for medically complex children,” says Bird. “Working with Dr. McGillion during my doctoral studies introduced me to the field of digital health and the impactful role that nursing leaders can have in advancing it. Working with Dr. Steele Gray, I will be pursuing questions related to the evaluation and sustainability of digital health systems, gaining new methodological expertise, and learning from experts working in digital health across Canada and internationally. The opportunity to pursue new avenues in this field that I am so passionate about is something that I am truly grateful for."

Congratulations, Marissa!
