School scores high in global rankings

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings and the QS World University Rankings for 2020 have just been released, and McMaster University and its School of Nursing have placed high once again.
McMaster University is ranked 17th in the world this year in The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, which recognizes the contributions universities make to their local communities, countries and the globe. “The Top 20 universities all show a commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals that stretches across the entire institution, and takes in their research, their teaching, the outreach that they perform in their communities, and their careful stewardship of natural and human resources,” says Duncan Ross, data and analytics director with Times Higher Education. In the QS World University Rankings for 2020, at the institutional level, McMaster University ranks #35 globally. However, in the nursing category, McMaster does even better. The school is tied for #16 globally and second only to University of Toronto nationally. The QS World University Rankings evaluate schools and departments based on: Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty/Student Ratio, Citations per faculty, International Faculty Ratio, and International Student Ratio.
