The National Collaborating Centre for Methods and Tools (NCCMT), led by Dr. Maureen Dobbins, RN, PhD, launched the third issue of its Evidence-Informed Decision Making (EIDM) Casebook late last year.
The NCCMT is excited to include in this issue two international stories.
One from Denmark concerns the RePOPA project, which was a multi-country research project looking into physical activity policy making. The other from Australia is about newborn bloodspot screening. There are stories from coast-to-coast-coast in Canada, as well.
Dobbins is the scientific director of the NCCMT. “The EIDM Casebook was first launched in 2017 as a way to share successes and lessons learned in Canada from public health professionals using evidence in practice, programs, and policy or to inform capacity building. Since then, we have published 24 stories, on everything from building a community of practice to using evidence to inform policy, including two stories from international public health practitioners. We have also presented on the Casebook at national and international conferences,” she says.
