Class of 1994 celebrated 25 years
Jan 7, 2020
The class of 1994 BScN held their 25th Nursing Reunion during Homecoming on October 19, 2019. Here is their report from their celebration:
Our reunion was kicked off with a welcoming and delicious lunch on campus at the University Club.
Members of our class came from British Columbia and various cities in Ontario. It was a beautiful fall day, perfect for touring the campus and catching up with old friends. Many laughs were had as we looked through our yearbook reminiscing.
We then went on a tour of the School of Nursing. A highlight of the tour was a visit to the Centre for Simulation Based Learning, where reunion attendees were wowed by the current opportunities for simulated practice. We marvelled at the resources now available to new students. Long gone are the days of injecting oranges!
We enjoyed the remainder of the day catching up over drinks at the Phoenix followed by dinner. Many hours were enjoyed reconnecting, reminiscing and updating one another on our lives and families. It was agreed by all that this was a very enjoyable and memorable reunion. We will be forever connected by our graduation from the Nursing Program at McMaster in the year 1994.
A special thank you to DeAnna Renn (Figliola) for taking the initiative in organizing this reunion.
