Oct 16, 2019
Cancer, mental health, diabetes, healthy aging, and intimate partner violence are some of the topics that researchers in the School of Nursing covered in publications and presentations over the past four months (June, July, Aug and Sept 2019).
Faculty members were first authors on papers in a wide variety of journals, including: Cancer Investigation, Health Research Policy and Systems, Health and Social Care in the Community, Journal of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, Canadian Journal of Nursing Research, JAMA, BMJ Open, Primary Health Care Research & Development, Canadian Journal of Diabetes, and BMC Family Practice.
Conferences are another way to share research, and faculty members presented their work at conferences and in classrooms around the globe: Chile, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, England, Australia and the US, as well as numerous cities in Canada.
Students also continue to play an important role in research in the school. Several students are first authors or co-authors on publications during this period or co-presenters at conferences. This includes Carley Whitmore, Carly Ouellette, Pamela Durepos, Marie-Lee Yous, Lin Li, Annie Lam and Harjit Chung.
