Jun 25, 2018

Graduate students in the School of Nursing have been awarded more than $600,000 in the last year for scholarships, bursaries and research funds supporting their enrollment in graduate studies and research studies.
These awards came from a range of agencies including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Ontario Graduate Scholarships, the Registered Nurses Foundation of Ontario (RNFOO), the Canadian Frailty Network, Canadian Nurses Foundation, and donor gifts such as the E.J. Rankin Award.
Dr. Nancy Carter, the Assistant Dean, Graduate Nursing Programs, and Dr. Michael McGillion, the Assistant Dean, Research, and offer their warm congratulations to the students.
“The School of Nursing is very fortunate to have generous donations to support our students,” says Carter. “We also have excellent students who have won competitive research awards from the larger research funders such as CIHR and the Canadian Frailty Network. These awards speak to the hard work and dedication of students and their faculty supervisors.”
