Palliative care study findings and resources are now available online
Nov 6, 2017
The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association has published recent research findings by Dr. Sharon Kaasalainen, a McMaster University School of Nursing professor, and graduate student Pamela Durepos. The findings come from a study called “Strengthening a Palliative Approach in Long-term Care”.
The information includes five easy-to-read pamphlets developed during the study that will help residents, families and friends understand more about the five chronic illnesses that are most prevalent in long-term care: frailty, dementia, heart failure, kidney disease, and lung disease.
