In Photos: School of Nursing hosts 50th reunion for the Class of 1974
The School of Nursing (SON) and McMaster’s Alumni Office hosted the graduating class of 1974’s 50th reunion on June 21.
In 1974, the School of Nursing joined the newly established Faculty of Health Sciences and relocated to the new McMaster University Medical Centre. This marked a significant period of change. Inspired by the School of Medicine and the School of Nursing’s expertise in self-directed learning, small-group, problem-based learning was introduced. This era also saw the emergence of opportunities for interprofessional education, research, and practice. The 1974 class set the course for future generations of nurses, demonstrating adaptability, experimentation, and innovative thinking that shaped McMaster nursing into what it is today. McMaster University and the School of Nursing take immense pride in the achievements and contributions of our alumni.
Thank you to the Class of 1974 for returning to the SON, here are some photos captured during this exciting morning!
