Dr. McCurdy retired from McMaster in 2022.
She joined the School of Nursing in January of 2010 as a part-time tutor for the Research Methods and Critical Appraisal course (HTH SCI 3C04). She took on the role of assistant professor, responsible for course planning and teaching both the Biochemistry I (HTH SCI 1LL3) and Biochemistry II: Human Nutrition and Metabolism courses (HTH SCI 3BB3) in March of 2010. Dr. McCurdy also teaches the Introduction to Integrated Pathophysiology (HTH SCI 2LA2) and has taught the Heath Science (4NR3) Research and Integrated Pathophysiology for Accelerated Stream (3PF1) courses. In 2015, Dr. McCurdy joined the team of instructors for the Pathophysiology for the Nurse Practitioner course in the graduate PHCNP program. Dr. McCurdy has an Honours Co-operative Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo. She also has a Master of Science in Biology, and a PhD in Medical Sciences (Thrombosis, Hemostasis and Atherosclerosis), both from McMaster University.
