Dr. Shaunattonie Henry

Bio

Dr. Shaunattonie (Shauna) Henry is a full-time Assistant Professor in the Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing Programs in the School of Nursing. Her clinical experience includes Adult Acute Care Cardiology and Infection Prevention Control and Epidemiology. Her PhD work included an examination of targeted nurse-modifiable risk factors in the prevention of chronic post-surgical pain.  

Dr. Henry's work at McMaster involved contributing to an evidence-based renewal of the curriculum for Masters, NP, and PhD Programs. Currently her research focuses on digital health utilization in the peri-operative period to promote recovery and prevent recurrent hospitalizations and promote knowledge translation of acute and chronic pain research to nursing and healthcare leaders.
