Bio

Dr. Kirsten Culver began at McMaster University in 2004 as an Assistant Professor.  She is currently the Science ​Lead for the BScN Undergraduate Nursing Education Programs, and a permanent Teaching Stream Professor.

Research

Dr. Culver’s research interests lie in the scholarship of teaching and learning. Specifically, the methods and strategies used to integrate and implement science curricula into person-based, self-directed professional programs with a health care focus.

In her capacity as Science ​Lead, Dr. Culver works directly with members of the Science Plenary Group to ensure that the BScN science courses meet the learning needs of students, and that the design, structure and content of these courses are congruent with the philosophy of the BScN program.
