Dr. Baxter started at McMaster University’s School of Nursing July 2001. She teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs.

Research

Dr. Baxter is a health service and policy researcher with expertise in healthcare leadership, health service delivery models and healthcare funding models. She is currently the principal investigator on a grant funded by CIHR to explore healthcare leaders experiences of implementing orthopaedic quality based procedures in Ontario hospitals. In addition, Dr. Baxter is a co-investigator on several CIHR funded grants. She is currently accepting graduate students in her areas of interest.

Courses

Undergraduate Teaching

Dr. Baxter currently teaches in all years of the undergraduate program, but most recently has taught Levels 3 & 4 PBL, Level 4 clinical and Level 4 Research Practicum.  Dr. Baxter has expertise in qualitative case study methods and mixed methods.
