Bio
Dr. Donna Ciliska is a retired faculty member and Professor emeritus. She joined the School of Nursing in 1979 as a Lecturer. She became a full Professor with the School.
Donna has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Western Ontario, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Toronto.
While at McMaster, she participated in the innovative Teaching Health Unit and the Public Health Research, Education Development program, and was the Scientific Director of the National Collaborating Centre for Methods and Tools (funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada). In 2015, she was honored with the Community Health Nurses of Canada Lifetime Membership Award.
Her research and publications were in the area of public health, evidence-based nursing and knowledge translation. She co-authored two textbooks on Evidence-based Nursing and was Editor of the journal, Evidence-Based Nursing.
