Spring/Summer Level IV Course Offering

The School of Nursing periodically offers Level IV courses during the Spring/Summer and Fall terms. This allows students to complete their degree requirements by the end of December rather than by the end of April. Students who participate in the Spring/Summer courses for Level IV will have the ability to initiate their registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), or other Nursing accreditation bodies outside of Ontario, beginning in January following completion of their final courses in the BScN program in December if they wish.

Course sequence

The Spring/Summer offering allows students to complete their Level IV required Nursing (NURSING) and Health Science (HTHSCI) courses over the Spring/Summer and Fall terms. Students participating in this do not have to enroll in courses for the Winter term following the completion of their Level IV courses, however they are more than welcome to enroll in courses beyond those required for their BScN degree if they wish. Students who complete their Level IV courses at the end of the Fall term are included in the May/June convocation ceremony each year, which allows them to celebrate the accomplishment of earning their BScN degree with the rest of their graduating class.
