The Ontario Council on Graduate Studies (OCGS) has recognized the excellence in McMaster’s MSc/PhD Nursing Program with a rating of “Good Quality”, the highest rating possible. Approval was also received to launch five fields of study within the Nursing Graduate Program, specifically Health of Populations, Wellness and Healing Across the Lifespan, Health Services and Policy, Nursing Leadership and Practice, and Nursing Education.
The OCGS Executive Committee has also accepted the Appraisal Committee’s recommended approval for McMaster to begin the MN Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner (MN/PHCNP) and the PHCNP Graduate Diploma programs, and approval was received to continue the Graduate Diploma in Advanced Neonatal Nursing. The first intake into the new MN/NP Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program will occur in September, 2007.
Congratulations to all graduate faculty, staff and students for achieving such excellence!
